An entirely new exterior has taken shape at 1531 Eagle Cliff Road. Formerly white old white stucco, the new exterior has been rainscreened and is a mixture of aluminum siding with a cedar aesthetic, a product with a lifetime warranty, and cedar wood siding painted in the hue of the sea. Three large decks have been rebuilt, the pool removed (the foundation remains for those wishing to install a pool) and the decks have been reconnected for a seamless flow. Tilt and Turn extra-thick windows have been imported from Romania for solitude and efficiency.

What was once dark and boxed in, isolated down a long, narrow hallway is now an open space fo the airy living and family rooms. High ceilings, new windows and, with the kitchen moved elsewhere in the home, this area with some of the home’s best views offer respite and recharge, a place to gather and regale. New French doors walk out to the rebuilt southwesterly patio.

The addition of new windows drastically changes the living room’s openness to the outside and brings the outside in, into new contemporary, natural features. The entertainment area now has a prominent home.

The home, in a prior life, relegated the primary bedroom to the front of the home, facing inward to the gardens.
